The purpose of the following application is to learn more about a prospective Lake Bay Labradoodle puppy’s family, so we may get to know you and make the best forever placement of our pups.

Please fill out as completely as possible and also read the information towards the bottom of the page.

How did you hear about us?

Are you applying for a particular litter? If so, which one?

Describe your ideal dog. What is their temperament? Size?

What kind of activities will you do with your dog? (And yes, snuggling is an activity!)

What is your living situation? Do you own or rent? House or apartment?

Do you have a fully fenced yard? How tall? If not, what is your plan for exercise and potty?

Will you train your dog for any type of service or therapy? If so, what is your trainers name?

Please tell us about your family. All adults living in the home, children, grandchildren, frequent visitors.

Do you have any other pets? What kind, age and are they spayed/neutered? What are their temperaments like?

Have you owned other dogs before? If so, what kind and what happened to them? Please note the reason if you returned or rehomed a pet.

Will you be picking the puppy up from our Lake Oswego, OR location, or will you need delivery (extra fees apply for delivery)?

What color/markings and sex of puppy are you drawn to? While we do not place ANY puppies based solely upon color or gender, occasionally there is more than one puppy that could fit in your family, and at that point we would take these items into consideration. We believe temperament, personality and energy level are far better indicators of a good potential lifetime match.

Are you willing to crate train your puppy? Have you used this method before?

Who will have the primary care and training responsibilities for the puppy? Who will be home with the puppy for the initial acclimation period?

Will someone be home with the puppy all day (work from home, retired, stay at home parent)? If not, what will your puppy plan be?

Please describe a typical day for the puppy. Where will they stay? Train? Eat?

Where will the puppy spend their nights? In a crate? Where?

Will you agree to complete the Canine Good Citizen training program or equivalent with this dog, starting with a puppy class? Please indicate your understanding that all dogs need basic obedience classes to insure harmonious living with humans.

If you travel frequently, what will your plans be for the dog?

Are you committed to feeding your puppy a high-quality food from our list of recommended foods, or a vet recommended diet? (We believe overall animal health is greatly linked to nutrition, so grocery, big box and warehouse store foods generally have not carried the quality of food we would feed.)

Do you plan to feed raw food or a homemade diet? If so, what plan do you intend to use?

Who is the most excited in your family to get a puppy? Most apprehensive?

Does anyone in your family suffer from dog-related allergies?

Do you understand that even though we breed low to non-shedding, allergy friendly dogs, that no dog can be truly hypo-allergenic?

Is there anything else you want us to know about you, your family, or your journey to get a puppy? It is ok to leave this blank, it will just be your opportunity to share anything not covered with our questions.

We love receiving photos of your new family member. We may occasionally wish to use a submitted photo on our website or social media. Do we have your permission to do so?

If you do not, please contact us via email to ensure we have received your application.

Approved applications will be given ranking within the litter reservation based upon having an approved application and receiving a paid deposit. You will be notified of your litter reservation. Please note, we cannot control how many puppies are in a litter, and do everything we can to match one of our puppies with your wishes. Should a mama not have enough puppies in a litter, we will contact you and notify you of other open litters.

Price for one of our dogs, male or female, any color or size: $3,600
Deposit required: $500 is due once we notify you that we have approved your application. You can pay via Zelle, Venmo, Google Pay or Apple Pay.

Your application is not considered complete until you have paid your deposit. To reserve a spot in a litter, you must have an accepted application AND a paid deposit.

The $500 deposit is REFUNDABLE if you do not get a puppy from us. This deposit will be applied to your final puppy price. $3,100 will be due when your puppy reaches 4 weeks of age. We offer educators, first responders, veterans and second time families a discount. Please inquire!

Should you decide to not adopt a puppy in the particular litter you are applying for, your deposit can be transferred to a puppy in another litter. We ask that you choose a puppy within 1 year of making a deposit, unless extenuating circumstances exist.

Once you have paid your puppy fee in full, it is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another litter. You have a 3 day return period from the day you pick up the puppy to have the puppy vet checked. Should the dog turn out to be not what we have represented (say, a Chihuahua! HA!), you can return the puppy for a full refund. Once the 3 day return period has passed, you are then covered by our 2 year health guarantee against genetic defects. We reserve the right to return a deposit or payment at any point in time, should we feel we are not the right breeder for you. www.alaa-labradoodles.com has all of our official information confirming we are a Gold Paw breeder, the highest status given.

We can deliver in the US and Canada. Delivery arrangements can only be made once a puppy is paid for in full.

We do not ship any puppies in cargo. We only hand deliver the puppies via a flight nanny.

If you do not plan to pick up from our location in Oregon, delivery fees will be assessed and are due when your puppy is four weeks old.

In addition to the cost of the airline ticket for our flight nanny and an airline ticket for the puppy, a $300 fee applies to deliveries on the West Coast. A $500 fee applies to deliveries anywhere else in the US or Canada.

While we do our best to estimate height and weight when discussing sizes, it’s genetics and mother nature that decide how big your doodle will be. We can give you a ballpark size your doodle can grow into based upon their lineage, but we cannot guarantee a dog will be under a certain height or weight. Please do not apply for a dog if you need a dog that is guaranteed to be a certain size. We do not breed dogs that can be relied upon to be micro minis. We can refer you to breeders who specialize in this size. We also cannot guarantee you won’t get a dog that is larger than their parents or litter mates. We do our best to know our puppies’ genes and estimate their size, but you must be willing to accept your dog may be bigger or smaller than this estimate.

It is important to understand that genetic testing for canines IS NOT YET ACCURATE. Should you wish to have genetic or breed make up testing done on your dog, you will likely get inaccurate results. As the Australian Labradoodle is an emerging breed that has not yet been recognized by the American Kennel Club, companies that do genetic testing have not invested in the infrastructure to properly decode our doodles’ genetic breed makeup. You should rely on the official pedigree provided by us that is verified through the Australian Labradoodle Association of America. These pedigrees being verified means this is the most accurate information that exists to confirm you have a multi-generational Australian Labradoodle.
